Lake Capoey is one of the most stunning Lakes in Guyana, located in the Amerindian village of Capoey. Originating from one of the Amerindian languages, the name "Capoey" means "the rising of the moon." Immerse yourself in the refreshing waters and serene, ambiotic nature of this captivating lake.

From Georgetown you go to Parika and get the speed boat or ferry if you're driving.
After you leave the ferry and drive out the gate you turn right unto the public road. You drive for about 25 to 35 minutes (based on your speed) until you reach the Queenstown village. There are loads of sign boards indicating such.
Capoey is the village after Queenstown on the left. You will see the pepsi sign board on your left and then you turn left unto the road and begin driving down. After a mile and some you will see the lake after crossing over the bridge.
If you're not driving. We arrange to pick you up in supenaam.

Lake Capoey provides a basic range of ecological services, including wildlife surveys, habitat assessments, and natural resource management.
We are currently in the process of amplifying our range of ecological services with the addition of eco-friendly guest facilities and products.
A wildlife survey is an assessment of the presence and abundance of wildlife in a specific area, typically conducted to inform land management decisions or to comply with environmental regulations.
